Sunday morn, couldn't sleep

It super early but I couldn't sleep after the SA Swaziland team left for their outreach this morning at 5 am.  BUT good thing I was up since 5, I caught this great man Dion on our base who's apparently been up all night praying and watched teh sun rise, he's praying for Gods help to get him to germany to start the first ever YWAM cooking school.  Forgive me Im on my roomates German computer, so typing isn't easy.

BUT I shared with his tired mind my dream and passion here, and he IS and hopefully is going to be so helpful.  Dion's from here, he's worked with government officials, knows people in great places and has incredible creative ideas.  HE even said, if you help me get a plane ticket, I can help you move fast because you wont be able to do this if you dont move fast, so help me get aplane ticket to Amsterdam and I can work on this for the next month.  Critical thinker and already asking questions like, why do you want this media village building?  What use do you have after?  gEt goverment on your side who work towards youth and there your funding is.  Just a start of talking,

So, Im packing up base today, taking off tomorrow morning with Kim.  Were getting a lift from the older couple Virgil and Valerie from SBS, and going to Mossal Baai, and from there Nik is going to pick us up to hang for the week in Knysna.  Yes ill be spending xmas there doing research, boating, having a great time with this wonderful greek family I guess.  Kimmy and I are excited.

There im suppose to learn how to drive a manual, so I can be versatile in what car I either get to drive for awhile or buy or borrow.  Yes I know I need to.

Last night I was taken out to see more of the city by my friend I met in Oregon who's here working now where he's originally from.  Justin showed me all around and was awesome to get a grand tour and see his side in Seapoint where things are just upscale.  WOW what a different yet beautiful world.  Cape Town is so diverse. We went to the waterfront and had some great seafood!  What a cool place!

I also met with Cristian and Elaine for catch up meeting in Kalk Bay yesterday.  Elaine is so much help!  She has endless information and resources for HIV and also gave us some contacts to a lawyer that our base leader uses for legal advice on things to keep what were doing as in logo options safe. Which by the way we still need a logo, soooo get creative folks!  She also gave us the contact that another couple used from YWAM to help open up, get funding and make it look professional, this orphanage here in CApe Town.  EVen just the process of how to go about this a bit more professionally because in order to even present this case towards companies, big name etc., we need to look professional.  So, we have our man Allen ready to help create the website, from there we have our emails, can make business cards, we have our abstain video from Media Village, and we can start.

Lots of things to look at.  I had a lady on base here have a great idea.  She said, once you get this trailer made, you should get it into airplanes.  You know where people HAVE to arrive here on, where they already show trailers\commercials, and people will get that message before they even enter the country. Brilliant!

Were still looking for someone to lend out their computer to Cristian, who doesn't have one for over the holidays and possibly outreach so he can work out of.  He's been using the one in the world cup office.

What else, uh been swimming, meeting people, already spreading this message and needing a business card already :)

Friday our DTS had a Christmas party!  OH it was awesome.  We dressed up, I had a great green dress with Red tights adn red hat.  We had gingerbread cookies, brownies, some sort of cider, and we did impressions and snag xmas carrols.  It was glorious!

Thursday ngiht I finally caught up with this friend Kirwin here and we went out to Cape to Cuba! Oh I love the place over in Kalk BaY  Had such character!  He was great company and hopefully I can keep helping inspire him to get back into his music!  Sounds like it's his passion.  I said good you can create me a jingle!  It's just been so nice to network alreadz and see more and new people and be finally seeing parts of the city, restaurants, even make new friends.  I did so well at couping up and growing with God these past few months.  SO, my prayer walks, and prayer room time is so important for me because I feel l ike God, doors are opening and happening and Im feeling so good about going forward with this, and many emails and support already, I feel l ike I need to pinch myself.  He must remain  number one or it wont work I know.  I am just praying God keeps my head right.  My heart right.  My spirit right.

Im exhausted I think I will attempt sleep now, then get up to meet Kimmy to swim.

I love you all, miss you but this is going to be a great xmas and NEW YEAR!
