Finally checking in

I feel so wierd. I can't even describe it, but just in this wishy washy world of not being able to be grounded in anyway. It's unique and yet frustrating.
I don't remember quite where I left off, but let's just say, I had a great trip to Knysna getting to know Kim and Nik along with his hilarious and very hospitible greek family. We say Knysna and Platt Bay. OH but we rode up with the awesome older couple Valerie and Virgil, and man oh man they are my idols! I wanna be married like that. She's this cute little thing, and he's like a 16 year old in this man's body! Incredible!
We had stopped on the way up to Knysna a few places and they just cracked us up! Winery, Aloe making factory, and Virgil wouldn't slow down when he missed the turn so we nearly wrecked into some boulders just to make the exit to the aloe shop. Valerie just quietly asked if we were ok. No big deal! :)
Nik's family lives in a mansion and they have a space mansion for any extra time or use, a few hills over. For future reference! We were spoiled and even went out one night on the town meeting some great Italian guys who were so intrigued by our 'missionaries'. It's interesting to have this title when I'm around Kim, but I guess it's hard to figure out what else to call ourselves.
That night out, we even got to dress up in his step mom's elegant thousands of dollars clothes, she even had heels with diamonds on the stilleto! We were in heaven!
We spent time walking around and checking out beaches and the beautiful bay, but it was short, I ended up coming back early on the overnight bus with Kim here to Muizenberg. That was almost a comlete nightmare when we got on at 10pm and the bus was broke. Man oh man, somehow Kim and Nik rigged teh next bus to take us, which only was an hour late and was working! Double decker bus and we rode with no sleep all the way back down the cape. Interesting ride I must say :)
I spent Christmas with my friend Mike and his family which he is so close, he's the god father of one of the sons so it was just like a normal crazy family atmosphere for the day! Yes a great day in the sun in Nordhoek. They had a pool, all the food and drinks in the world! They even had a gift for the guest, me, chocolate and roibus shower gell. I couldn't believe it! Nick and Di were the most lovely couple. Another relative jammed on his guitar, I sat and chatted with the older aunties in the sun while they got rather drunk. Oh it was fun. And I was even allowed to use their skype to call home. SOrry Kale it was so early!
Anyways, back to trying to do some sort of WORK here at this time when everyone's on holiday mode. It's hard. But recently last few days trying to get this guy at media village to help create our website.
It's going to cost 700 rand for 7 months for the web, but we need it asap so getting it tomorrow purchased.
Research is hard, and with just Cristian and I, I just feel I'm a bit lost on how to direct when I don't have any clue what we're exactly doing all the time and keeping the goal and focus. I want so badly to get the basic things done. However, no matter how overwelmed I feel with no direction, we are making progress with plans and what we 'need' and 'can' create or get to begin. Even a small movie idea was posed by a few local ywamers here on base last night as I was brainstorming. THey had some great ideas!
I'm currently moved into Kim's house. yes me and my 3 bags of luggage, sleeping in my sleeping bag on her floor. They don't have much furniture, but it's ok it's not needed. She lives with Elise, Lydia, and a girl named Leslie for awhile. IT's literally a block from the base here in Muizenberg so it's great for now to be nearby internet and Cristian.
OH good news, my computer isn't broken, well the charger, it was this strange converter, and oh gosh I don't even understand but it's ok here I am on it!
I heard also I can apply strait through the embassy for a new license since it was stolen. Same thing happened to a girl here and she just went through them, and in a few days it was mailed.
Still looking at right choice for a car. Rent, buy? So uncertain of right option but I need one as soon as possible! Already have people to meet in the city once the new year begins.
I still feel a bit shady, I think because I wake up at different times, I don't know what to always do with my time or more so, where to invest my time with what we need to be doing.
New Years is in a few days, and people are STILL on holiday mode, and not sure where going to spend that. I think Mike will pick Kim and I up and bring us into the city at least to spend it in that amazing place!
I gotta get going, Elise and Kim are ready to walk back and I can't walk back with computer alone.
I'm sorry if I'm not in contact enough, it's not been easy.
Andie, especially you, I've been a terrible best friend in not speaking with you. I hope you can at least be trackign me on here, and I do pray for you often and want to know how you are! I love you,
I love you mom, dad, Kale, and allllllllll of you lovely creatures! Merry Christmas!
Leon
