I learned about INTERCESSION

This is something our base does as a group, a collective whole and also our DTS team does as a whole. I haven't learned much or understood this concept and prayer until here. It's becoming quite exciting. There's talks of prayer, just prayer alone, has changed people/nations.
We were told about the woman in the red-light district who's been earnestly praying for that curse to break there and save the women from prostitution. I think it's been like 20 years she's been interceding into this problem. NOW, the fruits are becoming clear. Many brothel's are closing. More and more the place is shutting down what this famous red-light district was known for. Prayer, is moving. Who knows why prayers seem to be answered at some times and not at others. Or perhaps like this issue, WHEN it is answered. I/we always have these questions, trying to get clear answers from a transparent God whom only continues to bring upon more and more questions the more and more we learn about his magnificent mysteriousness. I love this!
Crazy Steve tought us a bit of the background and what intercession is.
Intercession means to go or pass between parties with a view to reconcile both standing inbetween. Basically negotiating a peace between 2 parties. Think of lawyers, counselors etc.
'Intervene' 'Intercede'
Our little prayer can change nations. Intercession is always outwardly. It cannot be for ourselves, so we have to remember it's not about me. Steve told us that when he was in his SOIP school, School Of Intercessory Prayer, they were asked to pray for someone for an half an hour every week for 3 months. The results he said were incredible. GREAT changes in many lives of people's friends or family whom they chose, he said were amazing stories. That excited me!
Prayer is a spiritual connection between 2 speaking it out brings power and prayer is about being obedient! Points to never forget.
