Continuing Grace...

So as a result of this lesson we learned about never being able to reach perfection without the sacrifice, lamb, lamb of God (Jesus), we're asked to move in the direction of His standard. To be like him. Will we ever be perfect? No!
God does want you.them to move closer to this standard. To be cloer to Him is closer to the mark of perfection. Salvation's never been about following rules but 'more' in that direction: WISDOM
Can you perfectly keep the LAW? The LAW reveals God's character. Giving wisdom. In His Word. This showed me clearly that in the OT, God is good.. He's the same in the OT as the NT=Good.
I never understood this faith in the OT, that 'saved' until now. Without actually having God's son, there still was salvation. Where does the Bible say this Messiah is coming?
Genesis 3: ..."that SEED will strike serpant"
John 5:24..."Jesus is fullfillment of OT
1 Timothy... 1:8-9 talks about LAW (good)
Law is good (given) to point unbelievers to FAITH!
Law is not for salvation
When law of land conflicted with obeying God, God's standard is higher. This I truly had a question with, and it just so happened to come up in class. I thought about the story with the 3 believers, Shadrach, Mishack, and Abendigo, and they were in King Nebakanezar's hand (forgive my spelling), and they were throwin into the firey furnace because they would not bow down before another God. They were living in another land, but to be asked to believe in something that's not what they believe in, which is God, then they were going to go against the 'laws of the land' that we're initially asked to obey. This was answered because like I said, God's standard is higher. It's more important to die for what you believe in, but following other laws of the land such as wear your seatbelt etc., are important to follow because that's the land.
Chris left us this day to meditate on this questions:
Do you still feel those emotions, even though we live in 'new' sacrifical law? (works)
