Small meeting about outreach

So our first meeting with out outreach teams happened sunday night.  forgive me if my typing is extra bad today because im trying to do it on a german computer.

anyways, so yeah, my team of 7 met together and were all sooo excited.  ive got Elnathan from holland, (the onlz boy) haha, we all told him his wife is going to thank him one day, elise from america, lena from german, olivia from america, louise from south africa,  and our leader justine from canada.  we all at least got some questions our but realized none of us really have any answers yet.

from the talks of ideas, it sounds like outreach teams, along with leaders and ywam bases, try and work with already created outreaches in the locations we choose.  or we use our ideas, talents, contacts, prayers to think of something new, or go along in a direction we feel led.  i love this because it lets us have such freedom in how we feel led together.

so justine said that were looking into 3 different locations to spend a few weeks in.  the first is we would probably fly from here to rustenberg, i doubt im spelling that right, but its apparently near johannesberg.  then we would spend time in kruger national park.  i guess thats a city or something, but it sounded like our contact there was some crazy fire dancing evangelist man.  so paul told justine we would be in for an interesting and really spirit led time.  whatever that means.  lastly justine has felt called to this place in swaziland, that she actually was going to go to before she found ywam.  what struck her again to go there, was when we were at nations to nations we had a flier about this organization there called bulembu.  i guess if youd like to learn more about this small mining town that is trying to create this christian town, check out the website she gave us www.bulembu.org

we were all very excited after and a few shared things on their hearts, like hiv and aids sinc swaziland i guess is the country with the most amount of victims than anywhere else in the world.  louise is passionate about arts and drama and was so incorporate that with a place's need and problems.  so, yeah.  we looked at the costs, again like i said we are such a fortunate team to have costs cut, since we aren't really leaving too far.

i found out this trip to swazliland and south africa was initially put out there for many on the team who dont have many funds.  when we looked around at our team, we arent a team that comes from the poorest of back ground and support.  so its interesting how God calls and works eh?  many others will be having, along with us as their team memebers for support, be looking to God completely for help with financial support.  i of course am in this same boat, but when you look at 10,000 rand compared to like 20 or 30 its not as scary.

please keep all of our september muizenberg dts in your prayers, not only for the money to come in and in on time for tickets to be cheaper, but also for the strength of our teams to work together more smoothly.  we are having struggles with planning on these fundraising and outreaches etc., but thats what happens when you have to work together.  we grow together.
