Ok Chris, Friday Lecture finishing Grace!

Salvation is Secure!
Now where in scripture does it say that we can lose our salvation. When we think someone isn't saved, or has lost salvation, do we look at their SIN or FAITH? Do we say, they must leave the church, they are no longer saved? Wrong!
If not willing to change a sin, (continually) is a very dangerous thing. Look to God when you're struggling. Paul, says, 'I do the things I hate'. Wretched isn't it, but he is a man of God with 'good news'
If you have your eyes on Jesus you're fine.
Am I still saved? This shows that someone cares.
Apostasy, which means to have deliberate and calculated (continual) sin, shows that you don't care.
What about the "unforgivable sin?"
Mark 3:28 Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is unforgivable sin.
Look at the context, why did God say this? verse 20, People are saying Jesus is crazy, family is trying to pull him inside. The scribs are saying this is satan. You are evil, verse 28. Verse 30 says "For they were saying He has an unclean spirit." They were saying His source was satan. Is the unforgivable sin in thinking Jesus is evil? Only if he continues to. Sin that is not believe. For unbelievers since goes with them to the grave.
Revelations 20:11 Judgement Day- just look at that.
So, at Salvation, you have:
Redemption -Salvation
Sanctification (holiness) -Process of becoming Christ Like
Righteousness -Salvation
Now that you've received this gift, what are some responses we can have?
1. Don't respect it. Trash it.
2. We try to pay for it. Works. (this no longer makes it a gift)
3. Take it. "Thank You. Gratitude. The heart changes.
Most people, even Chris said, he's tried and tried to live in #2. Work for our salvation. Go to church. Pray harder. Join Bible studies. Not curse the Lord's name in vain. Thinking that 'living' like Christians are to, is HOW we get to heaven. God says that's clearly not it, because salvation is a gift. You cannot earn it, it's just given! Don't remain in this bondage of feeling like you can never do enough! We're not sacrificing lambs for every sin anymore people!
How Is God Pleased?
Baptism, ministry, evangelism, spiritual gifts, speakin in tongues, prayer, fasting, lifestyle choices, marriage, Bible study, DTS/SBS, tithing, worship, church attendance and much more. Are any of these things sinful? NO!
ANYTHING that's Jesus + means we'll never be good enough! It's JESUS. I mean Jesus Period!
To please God we do all teh (works) because we want to. I don't know if I'm stressing all this enough because no matter how much we hear it, do it, see it it's never fully lasting in our hearts. We try again and again. Sanctification is a process!
Do not feel guilty or shameful when you don't do things for God...do things because you miss doing them!
We can't change our own hearts, God is the only one who can!
