Back n Black from JBAY

I really don't wanna lose my reader with jumpin around, but that's kinda how this blog is going to work. I am trying to get into my journal and write about my entries and lectures, but currently to catch you up on where I've been and been doing I'll touch on that first.
We left last week Sunday morning to JBay with about an 8 hour drive. We crammed into small cars and 1 convy for our whole team plus staff. Wow I sat in the back middle of this mini car with my bag and pillow on top of me. Oh what a sight!
The drive up that eastern cape, holy cow, was just beautiful. Even though Sunday the weather wasn't great and by Monday it was a hurricane, I still saw much beauty along with baboons and ostrich's on our trip. What a country!
We spent the week at this conference called nations to nations that these leaders like Edwin from our base leader and his best friend Peter Mcarthy (apparently famous christian singer) at his own base along with the 3rd 3 stooges, Armando, from Venezuela who I believe resides in the YWAM base in Germany. Those boys stole the show and brought all the DTS teams within South Africa together. There was about 150 in total on their camp-ground like base.
I froze Monday along with the rest, praying the tent we were learning and worshipping in wouldn't get blown away. We were in this beach resort-like town, yet sitting on the fenceline of a township there. Quite a different feel and base out there in this smaller town. Great to see another base though. I had to go into the Billabong outlet just to get a sweatsuit because we were not informed of the possible wind and rain storm, burrr!
Rest of the week cleared away and only the wind shattered us. I'll reflect on lectures and worship with our speakers there a bit later, but wanted to just say that we had lectures and worship everyday in the morning til 1, then we ate lunch, then had some free time and again had lectures at night with worship with everyone, (even some in community).
8-9 hour drive home was an even better sight, since our driver Henzel is from this small town we took a detour to on the Garden Route. WOW it was worth stopping by his house with his family to see his 'mansion' in our terms from base, with the workers on their farm and the swimming pool, wow it was just nice to feel at a home with a servant mother (his was so cute!) cooking for us and even doing what my mom does, fill up his gas tank and begging for laundry ;) Love you Mommy and made me miss my home of course!
Back here and settling back in. Tried out this new church called The Bay, right next to a township near here and I liked them. I tried out their Bible study a week ago, and I think I may go back. Very open especially for the holy spirit to breath through the church.
I'm waiting now for hopefully this lady Joelle from Ambassadors in Sport to pick me up if the email went through to go watch Ajax play today at the stadium. We'll see.
Want to say though, hope you all had a safe and happy halloween. I put some money on my Skype and my brazillian friend is letting me use his headset, so I can call cell phones now! Thanks for chatting with me last night kale, I had a trial. Working on more calls to come,
Blessings,
Noel
