Quickly end the night
Before I crash, I wanted to write something before I didn't get internet again all day tomorrow :)
We just had our first small group session and I had a few things on my mind. I will go through my journal perhaps tomorrow on our first week of lecture and the things I'm learning along with tangling through in my heart.
My small group was amazing to share a bit more with about 6 of us girls only and our 2 staff. I had read an email just before I went from my Dad telling me about my church again giving so much support especially in finances! I'm doing so well thanks to all of you I can focus now more on my studies then on my 'how to pay for this!'
Anyways, it hit me even more when a girl from my team, and also my roomy from Botswana shared in our group. We played the hot seat game to ask questions about one another to learn more. She was asked what's the greatest moment or turning point in her life. She exclaimed easily more than once, that it was joining this DTS. The greatest moment in her life! I know it's been amazing coming here and it's just the beginning of my chapter, but to learn about a culture where a young girl at 23, was only by God, chosen to come on this trip. Financially it's not easy, but the pastor (God) sought her out for this amazing experience. I'm so lucky to share this with her and learn from her. The joy she shines is what motivates me even more everyday!
I came home from kicking the ball around today and my bed was made. Just a pure heart to serve. Man I want to be like her!
I won't share too much more just because it's so late and I get up running at 6am with a few, but the voice of God is coming louder to me. I desire this so much.
In short conversation with this boy on base the othe rnight, led us into a deeper message from him. (probably more from Him) I asked how he hears God. I'm so curious how others do and especially those who are already through the DTS. We dove into convo, but when it went to me, he shocked me by asking me if I like adventure and surprises? I of course said yes. So he said that he thinks God will surpise me. Oh how true is his word. I think that's part of the intimate dance of a gift God will give me. And to understand that gift, I think is what a lot of this DTS will be providing me.
I love it! I love that thrill especially to think of it in my relationship with God.
Good night all
ps
Kale I'm so excited. Please write me and tell me more or get skype! I love you man. Dad you're in my prayers. Mom, I miss you.
