Monday
I wanted to write something, especially since internet's working
Well for my choice of outreach, I didn't have some great voice boom into my ear on exactly where, but with my time along with God alone this weekend, I didn't really hear him speak about India, Thailand, or Kenya. I really was thinking and dealing with my emotions and thoughts on what's going on here. I've only dabbled in what is the heart of SA, and especially with WC 2010.
If I had heard God loudly about any of the other places I would have written that down. I even thought Kenya for a long while because I was interested in the Somalians and east Kenya were those people. However we had to move the Kenya love to West Kenya and only because of safety issues going on there recently. So that sort of answered my idea of that location. However what I wrote on my slip of paper for my choice, doesn't necessarily mean I am to be here. We'll see what the Lord says to our leaders and perhaps my heart in the next few days, weeks.
Thank you however for your continual prayer and support.
Now on my knee issue. It's totally me to be bummed. Active is me. We all know that. But just as I'm learning and going to learn more this week with our new speaker Chris, Lindsey's husband (which I still need to fill you in on last week in Relationships and my notes) we're going to learn about grace. Loving God for who he is. Loving and choosing God in everything. This alpha and omega. So even while I'm wanting to cry because I can't be active like I desire, I still rejoice in him and look to those near me and lift them up, not take them down with me.
I think I do however have runner's knee. From the description and others in our group who have had it that possibly is what I have. Anyone have any advice for that? I'm going to try and get this stationary bike access next door at our local Kosie's cafe, where the family lives above, one of the sons says he has a stationary bike I maybe able to use. I need to connect with him. I am going swimming again today :)
We had base intercession this morning. This is where everyone involved and on our YWAM base comes together and we praise the Lord and then usually have a topic to get together and pray for as one. This time after some worship songs, we had 4 people who are leaving Thursday to leave for somewhere up the coast from here in SA, the name isn't coming to me, but they will be opening a new YWAM base there. The 4 along with their wives will be the first to start a base there. So we were praying for everything to go along with them and their struggles and obsticals obviously that all of us in His walk need. Things like finances, guidance, leaders, calling, openings in the local community. Sounds like the town has a lot of drug dealings etc. Was really cool to come together and some getting visions to inspire and guide those leaders. Others had scripture, a lot of the same scripture coming to them to express to that new team.
Mommy I miss you and look forward to you reading the book I just finished from Loren Cunningham the founder of YWAM. I will write a bit of my Book Report on that later. For now, I really have this incredible urge to get outside while it's nice for a stroll. I enjoyed my walk yesterday, but the sand really made my knee hurt, so trying pavement today. No I try not to take my i pod because it's not advised to I have nothing to get stolen. That's also why, I apologize why I don't have many pictures because I am afraid to take my camera places. Yes, it's a real thing and we're dealing with it.
Anyways, I miss America, but South Africa at moments just feels like another home in His world. However, the many I meet and many I leave, it's harder and harder to think about more I'm not around while I travel. Do know you're in my thoughts and prayers...even more so, I hope that through this little glib I scratch in my blog, perhaps you can feel my emotion and time here to perhaps learn with me and grow with me for the better.
