Hi, Hello
Thought I needed to at least write something of the past few days. I just got out of church with a large group of my DTS team. We went into this All Saints church to try and pray for it and a bit of light to reach inside that older body of Christ. They just seem to need a bit more to lift their hearts to the reach relationship they can have with the Lord.
It's sunny out and nice. However even though it was nice out yesterday, some of you would chuckle to know that I still took a wetsuit with me in the pool where I swam laps.
I've not have a good knee since Thursday. Something in it hurts, on the left lower part. I went for a long hour run with my iron man on my team Isak to a town called Fish Hoek and back. After that I had a hard time walking without shooting pain there. That day on Thursday I took it easy because it was the funeral and we didn't have class. But I still took Bre out for lunch for her birthday at this nice place called Empire. Great cafe!
The next day however, I got up early to do my sprints and my knee was bad. I thought I'd warm it up and push through the pain but it only progressed in pain til I could barely walk! I frustraitingly went back to base. :(
I could barely walk, but it loosened a bit up. I swam that Friday and Friday night I went to this awesome sports ministry graduation with a few on the World Cup team. It was past this beautiful place where the nicest university is in SA. Uh the name is not coming to me but it's about 40 minutes away by the vineyards. We went past the town and into more of a rural camp ground site that reminded me of church camp. There they had a graduation for this program SCAS, I can't remember quite what it stands for but it's a sports ministry 90 day crash course from what I gathered.
With a student body of about 30, over 20 countries were represented. Unlike YWAM I saw many who were even up to their 60s. I loved it! What humbling people for the Lord. Gabriel wanted me to go to network and meet many who are a part of this 'Ultimate Goal' network that is the coming together for this WC 2010. I think I'm going to be working with this one Brazilian man who runs futsal at some local schools next week.
I met another graduate who was from Nigeria. He is a pastor now but he once played soccer on the national team and has coached the national team. Man what amazing people in this small quarters.
They had certificates of completion from organizations like Athletes In Action, Ambassadors In Sport, Solid Rock and much much more! There was only 1 American from LA, his name was Jason and we hit it off with contacts and ideas already, he even was going to try and connect his large church with The Rock where I listen to Miles Mcphereson a lot and Kale my brother has worked with to try and connect the churches together.
What a glorious time and was fantastic to start to wrap my head around what people in this ministry are wanting and trying to do for this world cup!
I left with inspiration! The main man said that he brought those students there to die, and they died. But in Him, they rose in a new life. His life.
Saturday I spent some time in the office. I realize I need business cards and an email address to start networking. I also need time along to be listening to God for my answer for my outreach. Thank you all for your prayers about that lately.
I swam some laps because my knee still hurt. Then finished the night off playing mafia with a great group of locals from YWAM and the George Whitefield College guys.
Today my knee isn't as bad feeling, but I'm worried that it's cartliage that could be work away and it's bone on bone. I heard there's not much for that. We'll see if I see the doctor this week. Perhaps a physio.
I'd love to hear bits of how others are.

Going to watch Ajax today at the Newlands stadium. So excited to go! Love you all and bless you. For my church, I'd like to truly send out a thank you for your continual support and prayers for this side of the world. It's only through Him, it's possible. Thank you for continually being as he is, a servant!
I still haven't gotten all my payments looked at for school, but need to do that this week with the accounts lady.
Have a great day!
Noel
