Finally internet, ending my night
We just had base worship and let me tell you I haven't danced and jumped in so long! Great times for all and in fellowship, especially with a closing to the memories and giving for Fofo the Brazilian brother who passed away.
He's from one of the poorest families I guess in the town he's from. We're trying to support sending his body home or his family here for burial. There was an offering tonight for it, and I've never done this before. THe wonderful speaker our base leader asked us to get into prayer and ask God how much we're to give. If we didn't have it on us there were sheets of paper and pens to write down how much we wanted to give. I have a little bit of Rand in my hand from dinner, and I just felt this number coming into my head.
Now I want to make this voiced to everyone just because it's not me and it's not mine. Money is of nothing. But even in our message today from our speaker, God loves to use us to love. You, those who have been supporting and do support are using me to reach others. Perhaps in this process of giving from the Lord, others across the world in Brazil will be touched. Who knows what exciting and wonderful things God has planned. I know he loves surprises! I know he loves to give!
R700 was on my mind. Now I don't know if it was God but it was burning in me to write that down. So with what I've been provided so graciously I've learned that I must learn to give as well. It's like tithing what we have. Imean truly the only way YWAMers live is from the giving from others and that includes us. We love and we give. It's not me and it's not my money, but I just pray that miracles will come out of our offering to help his family and friends back in the community.
I still haven't written much about my notes from our great speaker John Justine, but I will end today in saying there were 2 from our group who felt compelled to be baptized today. It was a new light in Jo and Mashadi's eyes this morning. They'd been totally called and it was soooo beautiful to have them be dunked in the blue ocean here. I even saw spouts of a whale in the distance. God is so good!
Thank you for your love and support and helping change the nations. God has me in this little town of the Cape for a reason.
During my run today I saw a flock of sea gulls burst into the beaming of light swarming around my empty path. The glistening waves just made me cry at his beauty. Those circling gulls were what we are all to be doing in this world. Go unto all the nations and tell them about the Lord. Show them the love that he shows us, so that they may know. I wish you could have been there.
Lastly I wanted to quickly end, a small note for Kale.
YWAM is a family of God. I know you're heading to Hawaii, hopefully not yet, but I was curious of where so I can see if you're on an island with one of the 3 YWAM bases there. I'd love to connect you with people there. Perhaps attend some classes or worship, maybe even have accomodations. You can learn about them and maybe a connection or calling for you to support them or they support you. It might just also be nice to have some pray with you on your future decisions. I'd love to help you and please please get a skype account so we can talk about it before you go. There's a few from the Kona island here right now on our base.
Anyways, love you and love you all. Mom thanks so much for helping me across the world! Dad, you have no idea what you mean to me. To hear that 82% of the children here in SA are fatherless, just burns more gratefulness in my heart than ever!
What a precious place to minister. God bless this country and please enter this city of Muizenberg!
