What I'm learning
I'm reading in 1Kings in the Bible lately, only because I've told Kimberly that I'm struggling being passionate about anything I've been turning to in the Bible lately and I hate it. She told me, go read Kings.
I'm loving and also struggling with it. I'm so interested in this King Solomon. I mean man he had the greatest kingdom ever seen and built! God blessed him because of the wisdom he asked for as ruler in following his great father King David. God did just this and blessed him immensely.
I loved how he when God asked him what he wanted and he asked for more and more wisdom, that God said he's give him that and so much more. Solomon showed this with the story of those two mothers who went to him. One rolled over her baby in the middle of the night and killed her child. She swapped babies with the mother next to her who's child was alive. In the morning the mother with a dead child near her realized it wasn't hers and so they went to the great King Solomon to settle the disput of who's baby was the living one. He said we'll cut the child in half so you each have the child you ask for. The mother who's child it actually was saw what was going to happen to her baby said no, don't kill the child over this, give him to her. Solomon then said, that is the baby's mother, give the child to her. That showed the beginnings of this great wisdom that Solomon possessed because he asked of it from God. I love that! I need so much morein my position of not knowing what the heck I'm doing.
I'm so cut out for this campaign. I'm feeling like I'm always drowning not knowing how to get from step A to step B. The dreams and networks are good, but only God can actually connect the dots. Oh how I need you Lord!
Kimberly and I were invited to a cricket match tomorrow, which yes lasts ALL day long! So in our boredom we're going to bring the Bible and go over Kings because I said yes that was exciting, but the many chapters on the boring details of this temple built and kingdom, I just couldn't bear reading it because it seemed to be of insignificance to me. She flipped out and said that Temple was created in God's image! It was the closest thing these people were given to be near God. She's going to teach me much more about it! I'm excited.
Gonna go now gotta get some work done to get this website kicked off!
