Michael...continued
Kingdom of God: how to live
Serve God in all things, in areas of your life! Allow him to bring your desires, gifs and talents to life. "The glory of Gos is man fully alive!" St. Iraneus
Submit desires to God. Then move ahead. TRUST Him to talk to you, don't think desires are evil either.
Think about big business leaders out there. They only way they got there, like Bill Gates, even look at our President Obama, or Peter Jackson, sorry getting to another genre, but they're well known people. They had to constantly over come fear to face the world!
There's a thing that people in YWAM look at to see the categories out there in this world that can help you define where your desires fit.
Spheres of Society:
Economis, Church, Family, Education, Communication, Sci and Medicine, Arts and Entertainment, and even Government.
On a side note of another person famous: Look at Bono. He is huge and also a huge advocate for God and how to live. Bono is largely recognized in the music world and now he's luckily using that to his benefit to benefit the world. I guess he has this project called Jubilee. Apparently if you go back into the Bible, and read about this events, somewhere in the OT, (which I'm getting to) it talks about an amazing way that society was run. God showed us in the Bible, how a society can successfully run. Look into it!
The last note that Mike really just left us hanging with was to have patience. I think I really fall under this message!
Patience+ wait/hope (waiting ont he Lord's not being passive!)
I can start NOW. You can start NOW. Actively planning, and preparing for your dreams/visions and passions to come alive in the future at the right timing.
I feel I look at soccer and why I always have liked to remain fit and touching the ball weekly. If someone asks me to pick up a game or I'm somewhere where there's a match going on, I can jump in and not get frustrated withmyself. I may even catch the eye of a player or coach who may have an opportunity for me in that area of my passion.
How can I/We continue to apply this?
Think about it,
I know I do, I feel sometimes too much as a visionary.
I must leave you now on that last bit of notes from the lecture last week. I'm glad I got it all out and down, I'm soooo tired.
Physio today was a bit dragging because I have taken steps backwards. I walked stairs and down a hill this weekend and rehurt it. So back at it. But I must say, I LOVE taking the train. It's almost wierd if you don't talk to someone. I have had some great interactions. I met a young girl and her sisters coming home from school. I met another lady who works as an assistant for a politian in the ANC, but about to be laid off (learned a lot from her in 10 minutes about politics already and I don't like the president too much) and I met another woman who told me all about her son and school he attends and how to do Christmas here in SA. She said spend it with the poor people not the rich because she said " we really know how to have a good time!"
This for me is a mch more investing experience and ministry! I'm not happy about my knee, but I'm loving my interactions. Even my physio and I have had some great getting to know each other, talks.
Frooze my butt off in the pool today, but HAD to go, even with a wetsuit!
Mom and Dad, was soooooo great to talk with you last night.
PS, seeing our film tomorrow to send home!
Gonna pay my student fees tomorrow then I'll know how much more I will need to outreach.
LASTLY, trying to plan a party like I've been dreaming about with the community, HOPEFULLY the boys follow through and help me organize a meeting at their dinning hall tomorrow for the Palooza.
OH man, Good Night!
