I'm here!!!

hello all I can only write breifly at the moment! Just got my internet and so trying to be more punctual on writing (with paragraphs :)
So here's the deal, most importantly: I am needing a lot of prayers for more funds because the school fees are coming up asap. We're to have our payment for DTS first 3 months, (by this thursday?!) It's $2000 American. That includes the school and room and board. That does not include any cleaning supplies or extras if we go anywhere, but it's the most important.
I'm still waiting to see how much is put in my my gracious church then I'll have a good figure. But please be praying not only fo rmyself to have all the funds but for our entire LARGE DTS team of 28!
It's been amazing over the weekend to start meeting all the new faces and see thi sbeautiful (yet poor) place. Not to worry been running with partners, already made contacts to play a bit of football and going strong.

Hi Noel,
So good to hear from you. Glad you made it safely. I forwarded your blog to lots of friends yesterday. It's exciting to read what is happening across the globe from us. I'm not sure how, but I would bet that God didn't send you there to be sent home early.
It's Tuesday evening here, and early Wednesday there? Thursday is right around the corner for you. I'll try to touch bases with Diane tomorrow to see if I can send you some good information.
There are many praying for you. I too continue to pray and ask God to bless you and take care of your needs.

Letter of support

This time I’ve followed my heart to South Africa to be a servant for the Lord. In whatever magical way that may be, I will do so with the wonderful program, Youth With A Mission.
Ever since I did a mission trip to Mississippi back in 07’ I’ve been inspired to continue to serve. I've been dreaming about an adventure as well as being at the 2010 World Cup.
With the support of YWAM I will be embracing the country by first going through YWAM’s DTS, (Discipleship Training School). DTS is a pre-requisite to being a missionary through WYAM when completed.
The first 3 months are going to be at the base in Muizenberg. There my ‘team’ who have applied for the school around the world, challenging ourselves to be fully ready to serve in whatever calling we gravitate towards.
Choosing a country from the options YWAM provides, our team will then go serve there for the last 3 months. At the end of our mission, we debrief back in Muizenberg.
With the largest sporting event in the world going on in SA, I can just feel that it’s a place God will do wondrous things. With the beautiful game I know many youth especially youth, can be reached with endless opportunities.
I’ve traveled, met many people, gained work ethic, responsibility, confidence, and how to be a part of something larger than myself from soccer. Now I feel if there’s anyway I can give this gift in a place in such a time as this, then that would be a dream for me!
Not only do I hope and plan that YWAM will plug me into ties with the World Cup but also be able to help me network enough to help anyone else who may be thinking of attending the World Cup and or serving during the event.

For the remaining 3 months, I still need to raise funds of around R12,000. I calculated my rent/utilities R1,500, food R1,200, internet/phone, R400, and extras (train travel, toiletries, hair cut, etc.) R1000. So about R4,000 a month with 3 months of May, June and July left I need around R12,000. This equates to around $1,700 for 3 months longer here in South Africa. God always supplies and never fails so I must have faith. I could possibly live on more or less so I am trying to not stress about this. Please keep me in your prayers. There are also so many other YWAMers around me who struggle for schools, accommodation, even a day’s train ticket. Please keep them in your prayers to continue in the steps God has called them.
